Edith M. Turnbull, age 71, died Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell. She was born in Somerville, September 6, 1937, the daughter of the late Dean and Amelia (Watson) Turnbull. She worked as an accountant with Raytheon Company in Waltham for 39 years. A resident of Billerica for most of her life, she enjoyed singing in the First Congregational Church choir, where she was an active member. She also enjoyed arts and crafts and knitting. She is survived by her three sisters, Lois Turnbull of Billerica, Alice Foy of Montville, Maine, and Helen Divoll and her husband John of Royalston, MA, and her brother, Donald Turnbull and his wife Sandra of Thorndyke, Maine, and brother Lee Turnbull of Merrimack, NH. She was also the sister of the late Dean Turnbull.She also leaves many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and her dear friends, Paul and Karen Gilbeault and family, Irene Bright, and Kathleen Harkins.
